3–5 capsules twice daily (morning and evening) with plenty of water or juice before meals during 21 days. If you are taking medication, take this product 2 hours before or after them.
It is recommended not to take this product during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Consult a healthcare professional before taking this product if you are undergoing treatment with medication (anticoagulants, immunosuppressants) or have special medical conditions such as high blood pressure, heart disease, autoimmune disorders, progressive diseases such as tuberculosis, collagenosis, multiple sclerosis, HIV or AIDS, diabetes, or if you have symptoms such as abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, or fever (as these may be signs of abnormal constrictions of the gastrointestinal tract, diseases of the oesophagus and/or upper opening of the stomach, intestinal blockage, intestinal paralysis, megacolon, faecal impaction, inflamed intestine, or appendicitis. Consult a healthcare professional if symptoms persist or worsen, or if a laxative effect does not occur within seven days. Consult a healthcare professional immediately if you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty swallowing or breathing after taking this product. Goldenseal is not recommended for use with alcohol or other medications and/or natural health products with sedative properties. Not for prolonged use, only for occasional use. Effects are observed 12-24 hours after the first dose. May cause gastrointestinal discomfort, such as stomach upset. Do not use if you have an allergy to nuts. Contraindications: Pregnancy, breastfeeding, diabetes mellitus, kidney or liver disease, allergy to plants of the Myrtacaea or Astaraecae family, if there is intestinal obstruction, difficulty swallowing, undiagnosed rectal bleeding, constipation after using another laxative, or gastrointestinal lesions or ulcers.
