Precanerous Conditions: Clinical Approaches from Research
Webinar recording
About the webinar:
Precancerous conditions commonly encountered in clinical practice include monoclonal gammopathy of unknown significance, plasmacytoma, smoldering multiple myeloma, plasmacytoma, myelodysplastic syndrome, among others. The most common conventional approach is watchful waiting given that the few clinical trials have not been successful, or aggressive treatments with limited positive outcomes. Full disclosure, conservative treatments, watchful waiting, and focused nutritional/supplement approaches may have the best outcomes.
By the end of this lecture, the clinician will be able to:
• Precancerous conditions-MGUS, SMM, MDS, Plasmacytoma-Diagnostic findings, possible etiologies, possible clinical courses
• Astaxanthin sources and biological activity
• Diversity of K2 and their multiple clinical effects
• Vitamin D role in bone health, multiple myeloma
• Methylsulfonylmethane role in cancer and precancer
